Public Health Research Solutions (PHiRSt) drives applied health research, program evaluations, and evidence-based interventions across North America, tailoring its support to the distinct needs of each region. In Canada, PHiRSt focuses on substance use and addiction research and support initiatives spanning all provinces. Across the United States, PHiRSt's work encompasses targeted state and regional partnerships: in Virginia, the team actively supports Northern Virginia Public Health (a non-profit) and authored the most downloaded SAMHSA publication on opioid overdose prevention; in Louisiana, efforts center on strengthening and empowering local community health coalitions; in Georgia, PHiRSt collaborates with state Chronic Disease directors to advance cancer screening initiatives and build strong community-clinical linkages; and in California, they conduct rigorous program evaluations at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Through these diverse multi-regional endeavors, PHiRSt translates health research directly into actionable, community-centered public health impact.
